Today, on 23 March 2015 in Brussels started the International Round Table of EADEA project, funded by EuropeAid
with participation of all project partners from Austria, Bulgaria, Estonia and Rwanda.
As official guests on the first day of the Round Table arrived Ms Valentina Auricchio, Head of Sector for DEAR in EuropeAid, EC,
and the Ambassador of Bulgaria to Belgium H.E. Mr Veselin Valkanov.
Project EADEA, building capacity for development Education among teachers of and students with visual impairment is
implemented by participatory approach where drivers of the change are the blind people themselves – teachers, experts, parents.
The target group of the visually impaired students is actively involved through the two school sub-granted projects
in the two specialised schools in Sofia and Varna in Bulgaria and with the project of Estonian students with visual impairment.
The created and adopted to the special educational needs materials on development/global education will facilitate the inclusion of
DE/GE in the curricula of the target group students and will benefit the expansion of the knowledge of the visually impaired students in Rwanda, also covered by the awareness raising campaign of the project.”
