ADRA Bulgaria got involved with an emergency response to the floods near Karlovsko. Already on the second day after the flood, ADRA teams started draining basements and ground rooms and cleaning silt, sand and debris from the side rooms in the yards of the affected houses. The disaster affected about 400 houses in the three villages. Several houses along the spillway of the river were completely swept away. Other houses have been damaged and will be forcibly demolished. ADRA continues its support by cleaning indoor spaces from the deposits on the walls. Our team is doing research to build wooden houses for the most affected.
